The Whos, Whats, Wheres And Winners Of The Olympus PEN Scottish Fashion Awards, 2015
Christopher Kane, Hunter, Belstaff and Topman were amongst the big-name winners at the 2015 Olympus PEN Scottish Fashion Awards, as the industry’s finest packed London’s 5* Corinthia Hotel to celebrate the nation’s talent on Thursday.
The top prize, Scottish Designer Of The Year, went to the unstoppable Christopher Kane (for the fourth year in a row, no less) while the team behind Pringle Of Scotland were honoured with the Founder’s Award.

Iconic photographer and director David Eustace made it into the Scottish Hall Of Fame, following in the footsteps of Dame Vivienne Westwood, who was inducted last year for her tireless commitment to a tartan check.
Marking 10 years since the awards were founded, Dr Tessa Hartmann joked that, back in 2005, critics had suggested that Scotland ‘didn’t have enough design talent to keep an awards franchise going.’ Presumably said critic is doing well under that rock…
Laura Whitmore presented the awards, and Henry Holland, Jonathan Saunders, Carolina Issa and more turned out to support their nominee friends. Every table had a chance to play with the Olympus PEN camera, snapping pictures of the winners on the red carpet as well as all their antics at the Highland Gathering-themed after party.
With fashion week fast approaching (the capital’s style-fest kicks off on 17th September) it was a great start for Scottish Model Of The Year winner, Misha Hart, who has walked for Burberry, Louis Vuitton and fellow Scot Jonathan Saunders in the last year.
The new name to know in menswear is Central St. Martins graduate Charles Jeffrey, who was named Scottish Fashion Graduate of the Year – an accolade picked up by none other than Mr Kane at the very first awards a decade ago. Charles has already got support from the British Fashion Council and the Fashion East platform, too, so expect to spot him on the main stage pretty soon.
