5 AUTUMNAL LOCATIONS THAT ALL STYLE BLOGGERS LOVE TO SNAP
Ahh autumn. It’s one of the most beautiful times of the year in the UK. So, of course, every fashion blogger worth their Insta-likes is utilising the season’s natural backdrops for perfect #OOTD posts, before we all go off into full hibernation.
Here are 5 shoot locations we can’t get enough of…
The Coffee Shop
But not just any coffee shop. Whether a place actually serves good coffee or not is almost irrelevant in the eyes of a style blogger. He or she is looking for the most aesthetically pleasing joints in town – those with the best tableware, the best tiled floors. Alex Stedman of The Frugality rates The Hoxton Hotel, while others haunt The Modern Pantry, Granger&Co and Bernardi’s. The ideal flat lay? Some chic winter accessories (perhaps a Bella Freud bobble hat or a Shrimps scarf) set beside a steaming cup of whatever in a super-ornate mug. So snug, so smug.

Pick a park, any park. The epitome of autumn has to be those totally gorgeous golden landscapes and, as every blogger knows, those leafy mounds provide the perfect textural scenery to show-off your new season coat. Classic greys, navy, or claret coats will look great against all those saturated yellows and greens. Rosie Thomas AKA The Londoner loves Hyde Park, while Ella Catliff of La Petite Anglaise has been utilising the stunning late afternoon light in Ashdown Forest, Sussex.

Sure, the blogosphere loves Notting Hill at any time of year. But when the streets are lined with bare trees and all those colourful houses start to punctuate through the autumnal colours, the packs of photographers just can’t stay away. Emily Johnston of Fashion Foie Gras knows how to pick the punchiest doors to display her new Whistles coat against, while Emmie Cosser, The Top 10 Girl, sniffs out props like cool vintage cars to set her YSL bag down on.

The Flower Markets
Why not pick some in-season fleurs to set off your AW15 wardrobe? Erica Davies of The Edited does hydrangea-watch in the florist doorway at London department store Liberty, while Columbia Road Flower Market is the one to visit at weekends to take your OOTD snaps in front of a whole backdrop of blooms.

The Great Indoors
The perfect place to photograph that new knitwear haul? Autumn-ify your own abode with a new blanket or throw, a few Diptyque candles and a couple of your heaviest artsy coffee table books (you want it to look like you’re really bedding down for winter). Our favourite fashion bloggers love a breakfast in bed shot to showcase haute pyjamas, or for beauty fans, a drawn bubbly bath (surrounded by chic products) will always win a lot of Insta-likes. And best of all? You don’t even need to step out in the cold for this one…
