With over 20 years experience, OLYMPUS Visionary Peter Dench works primarily in the advertising, corporate, portraiture and video fields of image making. A keen and astute observer of human nature and in particular some of the quirkier aspects of life, his distinctive style, predominantly in colour, has guaranteed regular commissions from a range or respected international clients including: FORD,, Coca Cola, Weetabix, Barclays Wealth and Barclaycard.

Achievements include a World Press Photo Award in the People in the News Stories Category for the reportage, Drinking of England and participation in the World Press Joop Swart Masterclass. Football’s Hidden Story, a FIFA sponsored project comprising 26 stories across 20 different countries documenting the positive impact that football has had at grass root level on individuals and communities across the planet, received six global accolades.

Peter’s solo exhibitions include: DENCH DOES DALLAS at the Art Bermondsey Project Space, UK; The British Abroad at the Photoreporter festival, France; England Uncensored at the 2011 Visa pour l’Image festival of photojournalism, France and the Periscopio festival, Spain.

Peter has made written contributions to the New Yorker and Telegraph magazine and contributes a column to each issue of Hungry Eye, the world’s first photography and film making journal.

Peter has had five visual monographs published to date, THE DENCH DOZEN: Great Britons of Photography Vol. 1 (2016); DENCH DOES DALLAS (2015), The British Abroad (2015) Alcohol & England (2014) and England Uncensored (2012), which was a Pictures of the Year International photography book award finalist;. In 2013, the United Nations of Photography published his memoirs, The Dench Diary, as a limited edition paperback.

Finally in 2014 Peter presented a TV feature on ‘What is it to be English?’ for Channel 4 News UK followed by a report on the UK town of Burnley, post Brexit in 2016.
