Sean O’Riordan

Haling from a small village in rural Ireland, Sean has always loved to take images and capture the beautiful scenery Ireland has to offer. Switching from Nikon to Olympus in 2018 introduced Sean to a whole new world of technology and lightened his backpack enabling him to hike and travel even more.

When not chasing the light or shooting a typical moody day in Ireland Sean is a Design and Technology teacher in his home County of Limerick.

In his camera bag, you will find the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II along with the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm F2.8 and 12-100mm F4.0 PRO lenses.

Chasing the light is Sean’s motto and he can often be found on the coastline at sunset/sunrise or capturing some of Ireland’s many inland lakes and woodlands during some mist and fog.

Recently Sean has started to shoot more Astrophotography and is passionate about dispelling the myth that micro four-thirds sensors are not suitable for capturing the night skies. Sean’s passion for photography extends to the keyboard where he loves to write blogs and articles offering tips, advice and background stories to some of his images.
