FACEBOOK LIVE: FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY LIGHTING WITH GAVIN HOEY
3rd June @ 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm UTC+0
Join Olympus Ambassador Gavin Hoey for another live photo shoot on the OlympusUK Facebook page, where he’ll share some of his favourite photography techniques. In this session Gavin will be covering his essential lighting and photography tips to help you get better food photos at home.
If you’re new to the world of food photography then this session is for you. Gavin, alongside his wife Sam, have years of food photography experience and as you’ll soon discover, they know that great food photography starts with great light, the right camera settings and a little imagination.
While food styling is very important, this session is all about the photography. Gavin will be using both continuous light and flash along side his Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III camera. As for the food, the great news is you don’t need to be a gourmet chef to get started in food photography and in this session you’re more likely to see cakes, biscuits or fruit as the subject matter.
As always Gavin will take you through every step of the shoot but if there’s anything that Gavin misses out, you can always ask him a question during the live session.
This is a stay at home photo shoot and although Gavin will be using his Olympus kit, the information will be relevant to all photographers, regardless of what camera brand they’re using. Everyone is welcome – so please invite other photographer friends to join us!
The session lasts roughly 45 minutes, is completely free, 100% live and exclusive to the Olympus UK Facebook page. No booking necessary – just make your way over to www.facebook.com/OlympusUK/live at 2pm BST on Wednesday 3rd June to join! If you can’t make it live or you want to watch Gavin’s tips again, the event will be also recorded.OlympusUK Facebook
