Join Masterchef 2010 Finalist Alex Rushmer, Kent Cookery School owner James Palmer Rosser and Olympus Ambassador Marcus Clackson as they cook up a treat at this exclusive food photography workshop!
If you’ve got a hunger for photography then this is the event for you! Marcus, with 20+ years experience shooting for restaurants, food suppliers, design & advertising agencies will be sharing his trade secrets, discussing the importance of composition, accessories and backgrounds when photographing food. And not just any food – you’ll have the unique opportunity to capture the mouth-watering work of seasoned professional chefs, James and Alex as they prepare some of their favourite dishes right before your very eyes (and lenses!)
Alex was runner-up on BBC’s flagship cookery show Masterchef back in 2010 and in addition to wowing judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode, Alex has cooked for some of the greatest chefs in the world and even Indian royalty during a stage set in Rajasthan.
James’s passion lies in using great seasonal produce and unfamiliar cuts to create new and exciting dishes. The Kent Cookery School is based in the picturesque setting of the Mersham-le-Hatch Estate, bordering the 190-acre deer park and 1000-year-old woodland.
At the event you’ll have the chance to capture images of the food under a variety of lighting, with expert guidance from Marcus on how to capture the food at it’s best. Not only will you learn how to make your photos look good enough to eat, you’ll also get to sample some of the food as lunch is provided at the event!
There will also be an opportunity to try out a selection of tasty treats from Olympus with a selection of the latest Pro-level OM-D cameras and M.Zuiko lenses available to try, plus there will be an expert from Olympus on-hand throughout the event.
With only 20 places available for this mouth-watering gastronomic feast of an event, as the saying goes – book early to avoid disappointment!
