MACRO FOCUS STACKING WITH GERAINT RADFORD
1st September 2019 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm UTC+0
Join Olympus Ambassador Geraint Radford to get up-close and personal with Macro Focus Stacking at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Carmarthen!
Focus stacking is a method where multiple photos are captured at slightly different focal positions, and only the areas in focus are merged to form a single image. This is particularly useful when shooting close-up insects and wildlife, as you can tell from Geraint’s images!
The day will begin with an introduction and presentation from Geraint (and a cuppa of course!) in which he will discuss the fundamentals and theory of stacking. Next, with the use of props, you will have the chance to explore the practical and technical aspects of Macro Focus Stacking.
Whether you want to get to know the Olympus Macro kit you already own (e.g 30mm & 60mm lenses and STF-8 Macro flash) or you use another camera brand entirely, this fun (but informative) day in a friendly atmosphere is open to everyone. If you’re lucky, Geraint may even let you try out his kit!
After a break, you will get to use the excellent facilities on campus to learn how to process your images using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
Ticket price: £150
