Hyperbole, Exaggeration and Distortion | Morning Presentation
In this presentation Steve will provide an insight in to his philosophy, beliefs and the principles that underpin his work and will talk about the importance of emotion in photography, about how photographs should be less about technical perfection and more about communication and how the photographers should be true to their vision and not constrained by desires to please others with images. Steve will show examples of his Black & White landscape images drawn from his recent work as well as talk about specific images, why he took them, and what he was trying to communicate.
Nature of Creativity | Afternoon Presentation
In the afternoon Steve will talk about his definition of what creative photography is. He will answer the question, ‘Can we all be Creative?’ and describe a number of practical strategies he has used to develop his creativity, that hopefully others can apply to their own practice. The images shown will be drawn from the wide range of work that Steve does – from landscapes to travel to floral, and will include both colour and black & white photographs.
