ONLINE EVENT: TECH TUESDAY – LOW KEY MADE EASY WITH GAVIN HOEY
Tuesday 23rd February @ 2:00pm - 2:45pm GMT
Head to the @OlympusUK Facebook page on 23rd February at 2pm (GMT) where Olympus Ambassador Gavin Hoey will be hosting another of his hugely popular live Tech Tuesday session, this sessions subject is Low Key lighting in photography.
From portraits to wildlife to product photography, low key is a photography style that works with a really wide range of subjects. It’s associated with dark images that are rich in drama and mystery. But as Gavin will explain, a successful low key photo has more going on then simply lots of shadows.
During the session Gavin will show you what low key lighting is (and what it is not) and demonstrate how taking control of light can transform a hum drum shot into a beautiful low key image that really stands out. He’ll also cover how to use your camera settings to check the histogram, a vital part of the low key process.
As always, Gavin will be using his Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III camera throughout, but colour is a topic that applies equally to every photographer and to all cameras. So everyone is welcome, no matter what camera you own.
He’ll also be available to answer any technical questions you might have LIVE, so come prepared with a list of what’s puzzling you and ask anything you like (within reason!).
The session lasts roughly 45 minutes, is completely free, 100% live and exclusive to the Olympus UK Facebook page. No booking necessary – just make your way over to www.facebook.com/OlympusUK/live at 2pm GMT on Tuesday 13th February to join!OlympusUK Facebook
