We have teamed up with Barnstaple’s J&A Cameras to bring you an event that simply rocks! Explore the sublime landscape of North Devon on this photowalk like no other.
Join your hosts; wildlife & landscape photographer Rob Cottle and Olympus Expert & street photographer Jez Sugars, as they take you on a trek through the Valley of the Rocks – a fascinating dry valley parallel to the sea.
During the event you will be covering a range of camera basics as well as how to get the best out of an Olympus camera. Have a go at in-camera stacking, or capturing epic seascapes using Live time with ND filters (bring a lightweight tripod and your filters if you have them). You’ll even get to try your hand at capturing wildlife as you meet the Valley’s famous feral goats that roam freely and often quite hair-raisingly on the jagged cliff edges.
Rob and Jez will be on-hand at every step of the way to offer expert advice and answer any questions you may have. As a group you will begin your adventure at the rocks, making your way across the cliffs and finishing in the local town. To end the day you will ride the old Victorian-style railway back up the cliff whilst admiring the breathtaking seascapes.
Why not choose some of the latest & greatest Olympus kit to accompany you on this scenic journey? We’ll have a few OM-D E-M1 Mark II’s and M.Zuiko lenses available to borrow – just let us know when purchasing your ticket what you are interested in trying. Please note, the kit will be loaned out on a first come first served basis.
Tickets: £24 inc.VAT
