Calling all photographers! Join Olympus Ambassador Marcus Clackson and Masterchef 2010 Finalist Alex Rushmer as they cook up a treat at this exclusive food photography workshop!
If you’ve got a hunger for photography then this is the event for you! Marcus, who has over 20 years experience shooting for design & advertising agencies, restaurants and food suppliers, will be sharing his trade secrets and discussing the importance of composition, accessories and backgrounds when working with food. And not just any food – you’ll have the unique opportunity to capture seasoned professional chef, Alex Rushmer as he prepares some of his favourite dishes right before your very eyes (and lenses!)
In 2010 Alex appeared on the BBC’s flagship cookery show Masterchef, reaching the final and finishing the competition placed as a runner-up. In addition to wowing judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode, Alex cooked for some of the greatest chefs in the world and even Indian royalty during a stage set in Rajasthan. Upon returning to real life Alex set his heart on running his own restaurant, and opened Cambridge’s Hole in the Wall in the summer of 2011.
Once prepared, you’ll have a go at capturing the food under continuous lighting, with expert guidance from Marcus on how to make the food really stand out. Not only will you learn how to make your photos look good enough to eat, you might even get a chance to polish off all the tasty dishes after you’ve finished with them!
All camera brands are welcome at this mouthwatering workshop, so if you want to get a taste of the OM-D E-M1 Mark II and M.Zuiko PRO lenses then this is the perfect chance for you to try out the award-winning Olympus range.
