Back by popular demand! Join Olympus Visionary Peter Dench for a fun and informative workshop at London’s Monticello House. Peter will present some of his most renowned projects and share his route to their successes and failures.

There are more outlets for photography projects to be seen but making the right choice for your work can be difficult. During this workshop, reportage photographer, writer, author, presenter, curator and Olympus Visionary Peter Dench will provide an insightful introduction on how to photograph and fund a long term project, how to edit and market work for editorial and book publications and how to prepare and pitch to festivals and exhibitions.

Using a mix of presentations and practical hands-on sessions, Peter will advise how to survive and sometimes thrive in a diverse industry.

The workshop will include:
• Advice on funding a long term project
• Tips on planning and executing a project
• Preparing to pitch stories to magazines, book publishers, galleries and festivals including Photo North (of which Dench is a co-founder)
• Practical session on editing

This event is perfect for anyone interested in photography or developing a career in photography. From beginner to professional – no photography background is needed, but some photography knowledge is helpful.

If you have a completed project or have one in development, please do bring it along – there may be a chance to discuss it.

Attendees will receive a copy of one of Peter Dench’s books – he’s nice like that! There will also be a small selection of prints available to purchase.

You’ll also be joined by one of our Olympus Experts, who will be on-hand throughout the event to give technical advice and have a selection of the latest & greatest Olympus cameras and lenses for you to try on the day.
